About John Chapman
Well, perhaps not a “kid”, being a former Barrister and Solicitor of some 20 years standing here in the upper Blue Mountains. As such John had the carriage of hundreds of property sales and a close working relationship with vendors and purchasers.
And perhaps not that “new”—John began his Real Estate career some time ago. Initially working at Ray White Leura, then Wedd & Co. Leura, McGrath Wentworth Falls, Richardson and Wrench Wentworth Falls, and Century 21 at Blackheath.
Then came a most enjoyable three or so years when John was with Jason Paul at Wentworth Falls Realty. The business was “expanded” to use the names Katoomba Village Realty, Leura Village Realty and Blackheath Village Realty.
Then in 2017 John began his own Agency – hardly new!
Operating on his own enables John to utilise all the above experiences but with the care and detail that comes from his legal background.
John’s adage is that “Real Estate Agents are the Vendor’s Agents—not the Real Estate Agent’s Agent!”.
John, a resident of the Upper Blue Mountains for over 30 years, created and planted out a significant “cool climate” garden in Katoomba. Experience with that garden allows him to advise on the presentation of gardens up here—that’s what the Sydney buyers like to see.

Holding a Class 2 Real Estate License, Robert brings a wealth of experience in sales to his role, ensuring that clients receive expert guidance throughout their property journey.
Known for his honesty and trustworthiness, Robert prioritises building strong relationships with his clients, helping them navigate the complexities of the real estate market with confidence. About Rachel Barton
Rachel Barton has been an integral part of our office since January 2024, focusing on her studies to become a Class 1 Licence holder in real estate. With a strong background in communication and customer service, Rachel understands the significance of building relationships in the property market.
Having lived in Leura for 40 years, Rachel brings a wealth of local knowledge to her role. Prior to her career in real estate, she worked in law, where she successfully managed hundreds of property transactions and developed close working relationships with vendors and purchasers.
Rachel aspires to build her real estate career on the principle of “real estate with a personal touch.” She believes that successful outcomes hinge on trust and effective communication, and she is dedicated to making the process of buying and selling property a pleasant and rewarding experience for her clients.
Rachel chose to work at John Chapman Superior Sales due to its high standards and the chance to collaborate with a team of like-minded professionals who are committed to excellence. Outside of work, Rachel treasures time spent with her family, including her dog, Kevin, and her cat, Lenny.

About Sean Sparks
Sean Sparks recently joined the John Chapman Superior Sales team and is currently working towards obtaining his Class 2 Licence in real estate. Before transitioning to real estate, Sean served in the Australian Defence Forces (ADF), where he built strong communication skills and developed an exceptional commitment to service. His ADF experience ingrained a deep sense of responsibility and dedication to others, which now shapes his approach to customer relations in his real estate career.
Sean has lived in the Blue Mountains for eight years, forming strong relationships with local businesses and the community. His local knowledge and connections allow him to understand and respond to his clients’ unique needs effectively.
Outside of work, Sean enjoys playing golf and has served as a former board member of the Wentworth Falls Golf Club. He was also selected to represent the ADF in a national golf team. A versatile athlete, Sean has represented Sydney, Newcastle, and New South Wales in field hockey and played ice hockey for Newcastle. He was also a coach for the Wentworth Falls Junior Soccer team.
Sean values spending quality time with his wife and three children, balancing his dedication to his clients and career with his family life. He is excited to contribute to the success of both his clients and the broader community, bringing his experience, integrity, and commitment to every transaction.
